Дебютный альбом английского музыканта Steve Birch'a, вышедший на лейбле Joof Recordings, владельцем которого является известный музыкант, диджей и продюсер John '00' Fleming.
Steve started djing a year after raving at 'Fantazia and 'Dreamscape' around ‘92/93 and soon after he started writing own Steve Birchcompositions.
Amongst his influences are The Prodigy, Future Sound Of London, Orbital, Hallucinogen and Astral Projection. This must be where Steve's goa and psychedelic characteristics come from. Steve first met James Zabiela and John Doe in Movement Records, Southampton in the mid 90’s, this led to a residency on MAX FM with James and John. Soon after he started regular gigs at events such as 'Pulse', 'The Hat', 'Devotion', 'Mentazm'-‘Trance Planet’, not forgetting a few illegal raves in the New Forest in the year 2000.Steve attended Salisbury College to study music In 2002 he was awarded a business loan from the Princes Trust to help support various writing projects. In 2004 all the hard work paid off in the end when Steve was signed to Joof records, John Fleming has been a great support.
Joof released his debut 'SPACED OUT' which had some really positive feedback. Full support has come from Armin, Ferry, M.I.K.E (Push), Marco V, Lange and Dave Pearce who aired it on Radio One several times and played it in his Homelands2004 set Out of Underworlds “Born Slippy”. Since then he has completed various remixing projects and written loads more trance, including a couple of vocal tracks. More releases on JOOF scheduled for 2006.
Steve Birch was personally headhunted by label boss John 00 Fleming. John certainly has an ear for finding new talent. Steve’s first single on JOOF ‘Spaced out’ has becomes the biggest release and anthem on JOOF!! ‘Spaced out’ was played by Dave Pearce on Radio 1 three consecutive weeks in a row, and still today Dave play’s it calling it one of the anthems of 2005.There has been no sitting back resting with glee for Steve, he has been working hard on this superb artist album. We are all proud to present you with Steve’s debut album of 10 breathtaking tracks. It’s difficult to try and find a favourite from all of them!! Take your time and enjoy these.Steve is defiantly a man to watch for in 2006. John has him firmly placed under his wing and has requested Steve supports him at many of his DJ gigs. Also in the pipeline, Steve has yet another artist album ready to release under his Lucid Dreamer alias . He certainly has become a production machine???

For those of you who love your Trance Euphoric this offering from Steve Birch will not disappoint. Aquarius is released on JOOF Records and has all the hallmarks of an excellent album. Steve Birch was head hunted by JOOF label boss John 00 Fleming and is set to be a success in 2006.This superb album consists of 10 tracks with highlights being the well crafted Hypnotica with its introduction very reminiscent of early Underworld. The cheekily titled Love Juice has a much softer feel to it but still keeps you hooked into groove.Weird World with its Balearic Breakdown takes you back to your 1st Ibiza sunset. (And you just know a remix of this will appear on a Chill compilation anytime soon). This album is already getting huge support from the likes of Ferry Corsten. Steve’s first single on JOOF ‘Spaced out’ (Not on this Album) was played by Dave Pearce on Radio 1 three consecutive weeks in a row, and still today Dave play’s it calling it one of the anthems of 2005.
Overall this is quality debut album from an artist set to be a rising star of 2006. Rating:
8/10
