Metric has slowly emerged onto the music scene over the past year and by the help of their fans I believe they will become one of the year's best.
Old World Underground is a mix of electronica, pop, indie and rock thrown together and showcased by the musical soundings of their lead singer and the rest of the band. I would have to disagree to another reviewer who said that this band is not meant to be recorded. After seeing them live myself, I can honestly say that they sound just as fantastic on their CD as they do on stage. The only thing missing from the CD is the energy and enthusiasm that Emily, their lead singer, gives to the performance but those are factors lost on any CD when compared to a band's live performance.
Highlight tracks include: Succexy, Combat Baby and IOU. THe different sounding beats and lyrics are a refreshing addition to today's heavily bubble gum pop populated music.
